The width of the panels is cut along the seam with a clerical knife. And along the length - with a circular saw or hacksaw.

How to choose wall slats?
There are three main types of rails on the market. Each has its own characteristics.
Wooden slats made of oak veneer on MDF base. Oak veneer is a layer of wood that is glued to an MDF base. This structure of the slats ensures stable geometry - such slats always remain flat and will not "twist". Advantages: excellent aesthetics of real wood, good geometry and affordable price. We at ScandiWall manufacture our products using this technology. For convenience, our slats are assembled into panels and are immediately ready for installation.
MDF-based slats covered with PVC film. They are made on the same MDF base, but they are covered with PVC films with imitation wood texture instead of a layer of wood. They may look attractive, but they are only an imitation of wood. These slats are as stable as the first option. Their main disadvantage is that they are not wood :)
Decorative slats made of solid wood. These are slats cut from solid wood, usually oak or ash. The advantages are obvious: it's a real tree in its entirety! But there are also difficulties that are usually reflected in the price: solid wood slats are very unstable, often warping due to fluctuations in humidity in the room. In fact, there is a risk of deformation until they are fixed to the wall. High-quality level slats are expensive, as extensive rejection of crooked slats is required.
How to mount the rails on the wall?
LINES cladding is as simple as possible and does not require any special construction skills. The slats are already assembled in our production in the form of ready-made panels, which reduces the time and cost of installation work by several times.

Method #2. You can screw them directly into the wall or into the crate.
Can I mount the rails on the ceiling?
Yes, the rails can be mounted both on the wall and on the ceiling. Both options are interesting and depend on your design vision. The only peculiarity of finishing the ceiling with slats is that they must be fixed with screws. Again, since our LINES slats are assembled on a ready-made panel, this makes installation even on the ceiling much easier than in the case of individual slats.
